Bosence Farm Community Charity Chief Wins Influential Businesswoman Award

27 June 2016

United Kingdom, June 2016 – Acquisition International Magazine have announced the winners of the 2016 Influential Businesswoman Awards and Bosence Farm Community’s Chief Executive Officer, Kate Cook has been recognised by them as the Most Inspirational Business Leader 2016.  The Charity has been running residential drug and alcohol treatment services from its rural base near Hayle for over 20 years now, and Kate has been there for the last four.

In this time the charity has gone from an uncertain economic position, with limited management procedures and accounts, to being fully accredited with ISO accreditations in H&S, Quality Management systems and Environmental Management, and a reputation with its contract holders of being a forward thinking and learning organisation which achieves excellent outcomes.   It has introduced a structured volunteer programme, which includes a number of former service users acting as peer mentors and Recovery Champions – this makes an incredible difference to those in early recovery, whilst providing skills, structure and self-esteem to the volunteers to enable them to put their talents back into the community.   The charity (working with Cornwall Council’s Drug and Alcohol Team) has also secured a grant from Public Health England to help build a 3rd unit designed to treat young people and families affected by drug and alcohol misuse, and this new and innovative service should open its doors before the end of this year

As women continue to shatter glass ceilings and become a significant part of the business world, we feel those individuals deserve to be recognised, and awarded, for their continuous hard work and talents. The 2016 Influential Businesswoman Awards are designed to place strong women in the spotlight and to give recognition to those most deserving.

Discussing the awards, Coordinator Jazmin Collins commented: “This awards programme recognises the dedication of some truly inspirational women, all of whom actively work to make the corporate landscape a better place for women. I am genuinely honoured to be able to reward their endeavours and wish them all every success in the future.”

Acquisition International prides itself on the validity of its awards and winners. The awards are given solely on merit and are awarded to commend those most deserving for their ingenuity and hard work, distinguishing them from their competitors and proving them worthy of recognition.
