Ride London-Essex 100

16 March 2022

On Sunday the 29th of May, two members of Wadebridge Coasters Cycling Club – Nick Good and Mike Nicholas, will be taking part in the ‘Ride London-Essex 100’ on behalf of Bosence. The funds raised from their efforts will be put towards an outdoor ‘Green Gym’ which is intended to complement our existing eco-therapy project. The gym will incorporate a range of outdoor exercise equipment for residents to make use of.

The Ride London-Essex event itself is a 100-mile cycling challenge starting on Victoria Embankment in London; travelling through the villages and countryside of Essex, before eventually finishing at Tower Bridge. Over 25,000 riders will be taking part in the event, which also incorporates a new three-day UCI Women’s World road race on the same weekend.

Mike and Nick are currently busy with their fundraising efforts and will be sharing some photo and video footage of their training in the next week or two, so look out for some updates soon.

I am pleased to announce that a total of £447.50 was raised from the ‘Storm Force 10’ event which took place back in January and would like to extend thanks to all those who made contributions – it is very much appreciated by all at Bosence and means that we are well on our way to our goal of building a Green Gym.

Anyone wishing to make a donation towards the collective efforts of Mike and Nick can do so by clicking on the organisational Just Giving link below.
