Edward Chapman

Edward qualified as a Chartered Accountant and worked in London for many years as an auditor specialising in the not-for-profit sector with a portfolio of trade union, charity and housing association clients. When an opportunity arose, he moved into the financial services sector as the Chief Executive of a Friendly Society. He maintained links with charities and was a trustee of One World Action and Comrades of Children Overseas (COCO). Edward moved to Cornwall about 20 years ago so that his two daughters could grow up in the countryside.

Having taken up running when he was 40 that became a passion and in recent years Edward has been self-employed in businesses with a running and outdoor focus. He is currently trading as Trailrunningman promoting overseas multi-day event. Edward leads by example having completed the 250km multi-stage Kalahari Augrabies Extreme Marathon in South Africa 12 times and several other international multi-stage races. His favourite place to run is the Cornwall coastal path.

Edward is a regular volunteer at Parkrun and with the children’s charity Go Beyond and a passionate environmentalist. He is a season ticket holder with the recently formed Cornwall Rugby League Football Club.
